The stone church with a bell tower began construction in 1996. By 2004, the walls and two tiers of the bell tower were erected. The main construction was completed in 2006-2007. The first service took place on May 21, 2011. From 1927 to 1937, the rector of the Nikolsky church in Kulebaki was Father Mikhail Gusev, who was canonized as a New Martyr and Confessor of Russia by the decision of the Holy Synod in 2001.
