St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Church in Krasny Gorodok

Фото 1
The stone church, designed for 500 parishioners and having one altar, was built in 1841 with funds from Count Platon Nikolaevich Zubov. A library and a mixed church-parish school operated at the church. As of January 1, 1932, the church was still active, but later, like many other churches, it was closed and used as a grain storage facility.

On August 8, 2006, the villagers gathered for the first time to discuss the restoration of the church in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. They organized a cleanup day to clear the building of debris, and in the spring of 2007, they began its restoration.
