In 1810, a stone church was built in Klyuchevka at the initiative of landowner Mikhail Andrianovich Ustinov. The church had a bell tower and two altars: the main one was dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the side altar was dedicated to Archangel Michael. A chapel was built in the village cemetery, which was affiliated with the Nicholas church. The clergy consisted of a priest and a psalmist who lived in houses near the church. During the Soviet era, the church was closed but avoided destruction and has survived to this day.

On July 7, 2013, a spring was consecrated in the village, which, according to legend, once flowed from under the altar of the Nicholas church. The consecration was conducted by the archpriest of the Bazarno-Karabulak and Novoburassk districts, Priest Nikolai Protasov, and the rector of the Novoburassk Protection church, Priest Ioann Kovach. The renovated spring is designed in the form of three keys, symbolizing the Lord Jesus Christ, the Most Holy Theotokos, and Seraphim of Sarov. Water from the keys flows in the shape of a cross, and the top of the spring is adorned with a shrine containing an icon of St. Seraphim, brought from the Serafimo-Diveevo Monastery.
