The stone church with one dome and a bell tower, dedicated to St. Nicholas and the Kazan Mother of God, was built in 1798 thanks to the efforts of Princess M. A. Shakhovskaya. Previously, there was a wooden church, but it was not located in Ivakino, rather in the village of Sogilakh; however, when it was destroyed is unknown.

Three processions are held at the church. The parish in the village of Ivakino has 86 desyatinas of land, and the parish includes two settlements.
