The stone Nicholas church was built in 1798 with funds from the parishioners. Initially, it was a small stone temple with one altar, designed in the shape of a ship. A hundred years later, thanks to the efforts of the parish community, the church changed its appearance and took on a cross shape due to the added chapels. One of them, consecrated in 1888, was dedicated to the Holy Apostle Archippus and all saints, while the other, consecrated in 1890, was dedicated to the Dormition of the Mother of God. The church was repeatedly renovated with funds from the manufacturer Lokalov. In 1937, the temple was closed, and during the Soviet era, sports facilities were housed within its walls.

In 1991, the church was handed over to the Russian Orthodox Church, and its restoration is currently ongoing. In 2000, at the Jubilee Archpastoral Council, the martyr Maria Gavrilov-Yamskaya, the last elder of the Nicholas church who opposed its closure in 1937, was canonized among the new martyrs and confessors of the 20th century. In recent years, festive services have been held in the new chapel dedicated to the martyr Maria Gavrilov-Yamskaya.
