The church was built in 1999 thanks to the funding of Lieutenant General Andrei Fyodorovich Dunaev. He was born in the village of Aleshkin in the Terengul district and restored his first church there, which had been destroyed during the years of disbelief. In addition, for ten years, Andrei Fyodorovich served as the economic advisor to Patriarch Alexy II and assisted in organizing various church celebrations and events. In June 2000, the church was consecrated, attended by the bishop of the Ulyanovsk region, Prokl. The church in Aleshkin is small and cozy, and it has become beloved by many. People come here to pray from Terengy and Syzran.
