The gate church of the Borisoglebsk monastery was built in 1699 by Matvey Dorofeyev, son of Volygin, in memory of his parents. In the 1930s, it was destroyed, leaving only a significant pile of rubble and part of a wall, to which new fragments were later added from the south. The church was located directly south of the Nativity of Christ church.
