The village of Bobino is located 36 km from the district center and 25 km from the regional center to the northeast along the former Noshulsky tract, which served as a trade route between Vyatka and Veliky Ustyug in the 17th century.

According to archival data from the Vyatka diocese, the village of Bobino was founded in 1603. It is known that in the mid-17th century, there were two churches in Bobino: the Annunciation Church and the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. Until the early 20th century, the village was also called "Trefilovskoye" and "Nikolaevskoye." For a long time, it was the property of the archbishop, and in the 18th century, it became state-owned and gained independence.

In 1773, the Church of St. Nicholas burned down due to a lightning strike. The parishioners decided to build a new stone Annunciation Church in its place, and the wooden Annunciation Church was dismantled in 1787, using its materials to erect a chapel in honor of the Most Holy Theotokos with an altar dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

The stone church was completed by 1782 thanks to the efforts of merchant Leonty Pesyakov and the parishioners. In 1875, priest Frolov described it as quite pleasant in appearance but lacking special architectural refinements. Among its rarities, he noted three ancient icons purchased at the Nizhny Novgorod fair for 1000 rubles, a silver cross, the Gospel, a tabernacle, and a gold ornament weighing 11 vertshoks, gifted by an unknown donor. In the early 20th century, the church had 7286 parishioners, and the parish counted more than 850 households, about 30 of which were in the village itself.

In the 1930s, the church was destroyed. Since 2007, the construction of a new wooden church has begun at the old site, opposite the school. Bobino is the birthplace of notable individuals such as geologist Nikolai Grigoryevich Kassin, artist Gennady Nikolayevich Bushmelev, and the first Hero of the Soviet Union in the Kirov region, Pavel Alexeyevich Skopin. The Vyatka saint, blessed Prokopy, was also born here, specifically in the village of Koryakinskaya, near Bobino.
