The village of Andrianovo, also known as Andreyanovo, is located on the Nerl River, which flows into the Volga. In 1575, it was transferred by Maria Zamyskaya, the wife of Bogdan Zamytsky, to the Trinity-Sergius Monastery on the condition that she would be tonsured as a nun in the women's monastery "of the Mother of God in Podsosennye." By the end of the 16th century, there was a church in the village when it became part of the possessions of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. In the charter granted by Maria Zamyskaya, the "temple of Nicholas the Wonderworker with the chapel of the Annunciation" is mentioned. According to the scribal books of 1593, there was a "monastic yard, monastic arable land of 70 quarters, fallow land and forest overgrown with 50, hay 150 bundles" in Andrianovo. These same books mention 15 abandoned villages and 4 inhabited ones, of which only one remained by the 1890s. The scribal books of 1628 list a monastic yard and 8 peasant yards in Andrianovo, with monastic arable land of 25 quarters and peasant land of 12. According to the census books of 1678, there were 95 peasant yards and 25 landless households in the village and its villages, such as Khorobrovo, Popovskaya, Gubino, and Foninskaya, with a population of 405 men. There was a monastic yard and a yard of the zemstvo clerk in the village.

The church is described in the scribal books as "the church of Nicholas the Wonderworker, made of wood, and in the church are the Deisis and royal doors, and local icons, and vestments, and books, and all church structures of the monastery." This suggests that the church was rebuilt between 1575 and 1628. The Church of Nicholas the Wonderworker is mentioned in the census books of 1678, as well as in the reports "on the churches of the Pereslavl district" from 1799, which state that the church in Andrianovo is "of wooden construction, built by benevolent donors." No data on reconstructions in the 17th-18th centuries has survived. It is known that since 1764, all the villages of the parish became state-owned. In 1796, instead of the wooden church, the existing stone church with a bell tower was laid, the construction of which was completed in 1802. The bell tower housed a bell cast at the initiative of the church elder in 1796, as evidenced by an inscription. In 1864, the refectory was expanded, and instead of one altar, two were arranged in it. Thus, the church had four altars: in the cold part, of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and St. George the Victorious, and in the warm refectory, in the name of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and St. Sergius of Radonezh.
