The Church of St. Nikita the Martyr in Yuriev-Polsky was built in 1796 by the parishioners of the Protection Church. This temple turned out to be very beautiful, elegant, and bright, and now it possibly attracts even more attention than the older and more interesting Protection Church. The Nikita Church is designed in the classical style, and its entrances on three sides are adorned with rich porticos with columns. The high drum with a series of narrow and tall windows stands out, providing excellent lighting inside. The drum is topped with a small dome that artistically complements the appearance of the temple and gives it an upward aspiration.

During the Soviet era, the churches remained active for a long time. However, in 1941, a decision was made to close them, and these beautiful buildings housed a bus station and a car repair workshop. Services in the Nikita Church resumed only in 1988, and since then, the revival of this beautiful complex began.
