On August 26, 2014, a church was laid in honor of the Venerable Nectarios of Pechersk. Metropolitan Georgiy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas visited the men's monastery dedicated to the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, located in the village of Oranki in the Bogorodsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. At the monastery, the archbishop conducted a moleben to the Most Holy Theotokos before the miraculous Vladimir-Oranki icon, which is kept in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos. Alongside the metropolitan served the dean of the Bogorodsky district, priest Alexander Gimoyan, the abbot of the monastery, archimandrite Nectarios Marchenko, and other clergy of the diocese. The service was attended by numerous parishioners, pilgrims, and benefactors of the monastery, as well as the head of the local government of the Bogorodsky district, Konstantin Purikhov. After the moleben, the participants proceeded in a procession around the monastery grounds to the site of the church's foundation in honor of the Venerable Nectarios of Pechersk. The rite of laying the church was performed by Metropolitan Georgiy.
