Mitrophan of Voronezh Church at the Archbishop's House in Orenburg

Фото 1
The Archbishop's House in Orenburg was located in Stara Slobodka and was built in 1868 according to the design of engineer Shleifer. The house was adjacent to a large estate with a garden, vegetable garden, and various outbuildings. The main building was a two-story brick structure surrounded by a high stone fence. Within the fence, every forty meters were built small gates with miniature domes reminiscent of the main church's domes.

Currently, the building has changed significantly and houses the City Clinical Hospital No. 2 at Kommunarov Passage, 19. Previously, when this street was called Cadet Passage, the archbishop's house was located here. Interestingly, the local population still refers to the second city hospital as 'the archbishop's house.' The main building with the house church, constructed in 1865-1868 and 1898, are architectural monuments.
