The application for the construction of a parish church in Vladimirovka was submitted by the Samara Spiritual Consistory to the Provincial Administration on May 11, 1870, and it received approval three months later. According to clerical records, a wooden church, likely unheated, designed for 600 believers, was built in 1877 based on a project approved by the provincial architect. However, other sources indicate that construction was completed in 1875. Funds for the construction were raised by parishioners, and on November 20, 1877, the church was consecrated in honor of Archangel Michael. In 1888, a church parish school opened at the temple, but there were no affiliated chapels or churches. After the arrival of Soviet power, the church remained active for a long time and was closed only around 1937-1938. Subsequently, the building housed a grain storage facility, but its exterior and interior remained largely intact.

During the Great Patriotic War, the residents of Vladimirovka repeatedly appealed to the Council for the Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church under the Council of Ministers of the USSR in the Kuibyshev region to resume services in the closed church. On April 23, 1946, the request was granted, and the community of the Archangel Michael Church was officially registered with its own worship building. Since then, the church operated until 1995, when services ceased for four years after the death of Archpriest Vasily Kosmach, who had served as rector since 1958. Parish life resumed in 1999 with the appointment of Priest Vladimir Bakhtin. During his tenure, significant work was carried out to preserve the church building: the roof was replaced, wall cladding was done, windows were installed, and a heating system was arranged.
