The Church of Archangel Michael in the village of Utyosovka, built in 1828, is an interesting example of provincial cult architecture from the late classicism period. It is located in the center of the village on an elevation, on the right bank of the Barysh River. This is a traditional three-part church of the refectory type, constructed of brick on a lime mortar with cross masonry and a rubble foundation. The walls are plastered both outside and inside.

The temple features a cubic two-light square, covered with a vault with four troughs and skylights. The facades are topped with pediments. The apse is semicircular, while the refectory part is rectangular, of the same height, with a gable roof. The bell tower is square in plan and has survived to a height of one tier. The facade decor is done in a flat style, while the interior decor has not survived. The overall dimensions of the building are 23.2 by 9.0 meters.
