The building of the main gates with the gate church, dedicated to Saint Archangel Michael and other incorporeal forces, is located in the center of the southern side of the monastery's capital fence. Built in 1835, it is a rectangular structure, with a passage for the gates in the lower two-story part. The side sections of the building contain staircases and four living quarters. The middle part of the third floor houses the temple. The architectural design of the building is executed in the style of Russian classicism. The two-story body with a four-column portico serves as the foundation for the temple. The temple itself has a centralized composition with a square plan, cross roofs, and four pediments, to which a porch and altar adjoin from the west and east. Above the temple rises a massive cylindrical drum of the second tier, crowned with a spherical dome topped with a lantern, a large gilded sphere, and a cross. The walls of the drum are decorated with alternating arched openings and decorative niches.

The facades of the building are executed in strict accordance with the canons of Russian classicism of the early 19th century. The southern facade, facing the street, is highlighted by a massive portico with a pediment and columns of the Tuscan order. In the central part of the portico is an arched passage for the gates, and on the sides, doors with porches leading to the temple and chapel. The chapel with icons and a cup was located on the first floor to the right. On the third floor, between the pediments, a rusticated arch frames a semicircular window. Similar windows are also present on the second floor of the side sections of the building, echoing the arched structure of the fence. From the courtyard side, the facade is designed similarly, but flat pilasters of the same order are used instead of columns.

The composition of the building, the balance of proportions, and the nature of the openings testify to the skill of the classicism architect. However, the carelessness in the execution of details and inaccuracies in their drawing indicate that the author of the project did not personally participate in the construction.

The building is made of brick on a rubble foundation. The walls are plastered and whitewashed, and the roofs are covered with iron and painted with verdigris. After the renovation in 1891, the iconostasis in the temple was decorated with oil paints, while the walls were done with glue paints. The large gates were also painted with oil paints, and above them is an image of the Holy Trinity.

Currently, the cylindrical drum of the church is lost, the iron roofs have been replaced with asbestos-cement, and the filling of the openings has been altered. Despite these changes, the building remains a monument of architecture from the first half of the 19th century.
