The first church dedicated to Saint Archangel Michael was built in Mikhailovka in 1869. The main altar was consecrated in honor of Archangel Michael, the second in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow," and the third in honor of Saint Martyr Paraskeva.
In 1937, the church building was transformed into a Tatar-Bashkir club and then completely destroyed. The parishioners preserved the crosses from the domes and placed them on ancient 19th-century tombstones in the cemetery in Buguruslan.
On November 21, 2004, a new temple was consecrated in honor of Archistrategos Michael.
