In the village of Oktyabrsky in the Orenburg region, the restoration of the Church of Archangel Michael has been ongoing for almost twelve years. According to sources, the construction of the cathedral in Isayevo-Dedovo began in 1878 during the Feast of Pentecost and lasted 12 years, funded by the local residents. It is known that by the time of the church's consecration, 85 thousand rubles had been spent, as indicated in the insurance card dated July 1, 1910. The main contributor to the construction was Ivan Parfentievich Tokarev, who, according to church officials, was helped by the Lord to accumulate such a sum. The Tokarev family was known in the village as merchants, owning shops and warehouses near the current church. The remaining funds were collected by villagers, who traveled significant distances, even to Siberia, gathering donations. The three-apostle church was built from local bricks, with corners, cornices, window sills, and columns made of white wild stone. The church is adorned with a helmet-shaped dome and four small domes, and it is very bright. The construction was overseen by Nikolai Ivanovich Pokrovsky, the local protoiereus. The consecration of the church took place on October 15, 1900, in honor of Archangel Michael. In 1904, the church was visited by Bishop Joakim, who was given a ceremonial welcome. Clergy from neighboring parishes and students from four village schools with candles were present, filling the church with light. The church owned two thousand square fathoms of land, including forty-four desyatinas of arable land, two church houses, and four public ones, as well as a house for the watchmen. The library housed 550 volumes of books. The parish included six noble families, 134 merchant and peasant households, totaling 761 households.

On October 7, 1931, a decision was made to close the church, and in 1936-37 it was converted into a cinema called 'Iskra.' Until 1957, the corner towers remained, but the central dome and bell tower were lost, although 200 icons were preserved. The Mikhailo-Archangel Cathedral, one of the most beautiful buildings in the area, is located at the intersection of eight streets. It is a cross-domed church, resembling a cross stretched from west to east, with a dome in the center. The outer walls of the church are flat, divided by windows and half-columns, creating contrast. The two-tiered facade is adorned with paired pilasters at the corners, topped with a triangular pediment. The windows are large, with arched ceilings at the top. The central part resembles provincial classicism with figured half-columns at the entrance. The building is characterized by clarity, symmetry, and precise proportions. All protruding parts are made of large white stone, while the building itself is made of smaller stones, bonded with cement. The Mikhailo-Archangel Church, in its condition and wealth, could compete with the Orenburg churches, and its interior decoration resembled the Kazan Cathedral. The church was reconsecrated on October 29, 2000, in the presence of a large gathering of believers and is a significant architectural monument.
