The Church of Archistrategos Michael was built in 1820 by landowner P.N. Guryeva. It is a rare example of mature classicism for the province due to its architectural and artistic qualities. The temple is located in the center of the village on a hill by the Barysh River. In plan, it has the shape of a Latin cross with an elongated western part. The building is a massive square structure with deep risalits on the facades, topped with low pediments, and crowned with five domes. The central dome is a light dome, while the side, decorative ones served as bell towers. The altar was located in the eastern part, and the refectory in the elongated western part.

The church is built of brick on a rubble foundation and has a high plinth with a deep vaulted basement. The facades are smooth, plastered, with minimal decor, finished with a triglyph frieze and a cornice with flat dentils. Inside, the temple features a cross-dome structure of ceilings and isolated corner cells. The spacious interior impresses with its strict logic and grandeur of decoration. The altar retains a white stone solea. The roof is covered with iron on a wooden framework, and white limestone is used for decoration and important structural elements. The dimensions of the building are 23.0 x 32.0 m.
