The Church of Archangel Michael, which is the second church of the Leontievsky parish, was built in 1801 with funds from a prosperous peasant from the neighboring village of Zaykovo, M.V. Oreshnikov.

The architecture of the Archangel Church represents an interesting combination of late baroque motifs with elements of early classicism. The site for construction was chosen very well: the church harmoniously fits into the surrounding space, located at an optimal distance from the Leontiev Church. Because of this, it is perceived as part of a single artistic ensemble, where the large and dynamic forms of the Leontiev Church emphasize but do not overshadow its unique beauty.
