The stone temple was built in the first half of the 18th century by the Karsun merchant Glazov. It has two altars: the main, cold one is dedicated to the Archangel Michael, while the northern warm chapel is dedicated to the holy first martyr Archdeacon Stephen.
This church is associated with the Spaso-Transfiguration stone church, which is also cold, but the time and author of its construction are unknown. It also has two altars: the main one in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord and the chapel in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
The church land consists of 39 desyatins of arable and haymaking land at the parish church and 35 desyatins 172 square fathoms at the associated church. The capital of the Archangel church is 1000 rubles, while that of the Spaso-Transfiguration church is 200 rubles. The clergy includes a priest and a psalmist, who have their own houses. The clergy's capital amounts to 325 rubles. In the city of Karsun, there are parishioners living in 124 households: 513 men and 545 women.
