In the village of Ignatovka, a stone church dedicated to Archangel Michael stood since 1850. It was small but beautifully decorated, thanks to significant investments from the factory owner Vinogradov. At that time, about one and a half thousand people lived in Ignatovka.

All the residents attended the church. According to local stories, there were only 150-160 houses in the village, with each family having about 10 members, and everyone would come to the service except for the elderly grandmothers who stayed to prepare food for the worshippers.

In 1937, during the persecution of the Church, the church was destroyed. In 1892, Vinogradov built a parish school, the building of which has survived. After the 'expropriation', it was used as a post office, a school for working youth, and later as residential apartments. Only in 1991 was the building returned to the church, and now it houses a prayer house, the Archangel Michael Church of the village of Ignatovka.

Since 1993, the church has been served by priest Nikolai Zhelnin, who also cares for the neighboring village of Zagoskino.
