The Georgievskaya church in the village of Georgievskoye on the Volga includes two wooden churches built by the efforts of the parishioners. The Georgievsky church was constructed in 1904, while the Archangel church was built in 1784. A wooden bell tower is located by the Georgievsky church. Both churches are surrounded by a single wooden fence, which has already deteriorated. The cemetery is located 100 fathoms from the church and is also enclosed by a wooden fence.

The Georgievsky church has two altars: one in honor of Saint George the Victorious, and the other in honor of Saint Dimitry, Metropolitan of Rostov. The Archangel church also has two altars: one in honor of the Archangel Michael and the other in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. Due to its dilapidation, services are not held in the Archangel church. It is 320 versts to Kostroma from here, and 75 versts to Varnavino. The nearest churches are: the Archangel church in the village of Arkhangelskoye, 3 versts away; the Ascension church in the village of Voznesenskoye, 6 versts away; and the Epiphany church in the village of Bogoyavlenskoye, 7 versts away.

Protopriest I. Belyaev mentions a wooden church with a wooden bell tower built in 1775. It is likely that a new wooden church in honor of Saint George the Victorious was erected in its place in 1904. The Georgievskaya church was lost in the 1960s, while the Archangel church disappeared even earlier, probably in the 1920s-1930s.
