The Church of Archangel Michael in Borisoglebovka, preserved in excellent condition, is one of the main historical and architectural landmarks of the Zavolzhye region in the Saratov Oblast. It was built in 1894 on the site of an old wooden church thanks to the efforts of the parishioners. The church was constructed of stone, had a bell tower, and one altar, which was consecrated on December 6, 1894. In early 1895, a mixed church-parish school opened at the church.

On May 3, 1895, the village was visited by Bishop Guriy of Samara during his trip through the Nikolaevsky and Novouzensky districts. He held an all-night vigil in the new church, and the next day consecrated it and served the Divine Liturgy. The appearance of such a church was a significant event for the locals, and even some sectarians, impressed by what they saw, converted to Orthodoxy.

There was a wooden watchman's lodge and a library with 170 books at the church. In 1904, the church grounds were enclosed with a stone fence with metal grilles, and in 1910, the fence and the church were painted with oil paint. In the early 1930s, with the arrival of Soviet power, the church was closed but avoided destruction.

The restoration of the church, which had long been vacant, began in the late 1980s with the active participation of local residents. Ural artist A. Tverdokhlebov painted the vaults and the new iconostasis. The church was consecrated again on December 24, 1999. In early 2000, the administration of the Fedorovsky district provided assistance in the restoration of the church.
