The history of the village dates back to the 16th century, when Kozino and neighboring villages belonged to the Trinity-Sergius Monastery. Currently, the Church of Archangel Michael has been restored in the village, which has undergone multiple reconstructions and had various altars and names throughout its history. During the period of repression, the church was destroyed, but since 1992, thanks to the efforts of parishioners and benefactors, it is gradually regaining its original appearance. Services are held in the church.
