The church in Anosovo was wooden and was built in 1887. In the same year, its altar was consecrated in the name of Archangel Michael. It was part of the fourth Deanery district of the Sergač County of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese. The church had 33 desyatinas of land, which supported the church clergy, consisting of a priest and a deacon. In 1904, the position of clergyman in Anosovo was held by Priest Alexander Ivanovich Pevnickiy, and the deacon was I.A. Novoselskiy. The church elder was F.F. Govyadin. At that time, the parish of Anosovo had 1415 parishioners, of which 693 were men and 722 were women.
