The construction of the temple began in 2006. Its walls are faced with red brick, and the roof is covered with blue tiles. Inside, there is a spacious hall with snow-white walls, images of saints, golden candlesticks, and a carved wooden iconostasis.

On April 26, 2012, the temple of Saint Matrona was consecrated by the blessing of Archbishop Ion of Astrakhan and Yenotayevsk.

The first Divine Liturgy in this temple was conducted by Archbishop Ion on May 2, 2012, the day marking the 60th anniversary of the passing of Saint Matrona.
