The Makariev Church on the Vyatka road in the village of Makaryevo is a stone building with a bell tower and a fence, built in 1826 by the efforts of the parishioners. The cemetery is located half a verst from the church and is surrounded by a wooden fence. The church has three altars: the main one in honor of the Holy Trinity, the right one in honor of the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple, and the left one in honor of St. Makariy Unzhensky and the martyrs Flora and Lavra. It is 350 versts to Kostroma and 15 versts to Vetluga. The nearest churches are the Nativity Church in the village of Pustoshi, 6 versts away, the Transfiguration Church in the village of Spasskoye, 10 versts away, and the Entry Church in the village of Konevo, 12 versts away.
