The Church of Blessed Ksenia of Petersburg was built according to the project of Father Alexei in just one year. In April 2002, the rector Father Alexei Kormishin, who is also the architect, began developing the project for the new church located next to the old Epiphany church. By July of the same year, construction began thanks to the efforts of the parishioners.

On April 17, 2003, with the blessing of Bishop Prokl of Simbirsk and Meleks, the new Church of Blessed Ksenia of Petersburg was consecrated by the priestly order. Under the altar of this church is a baptistery with the only baptistery in the Ulyanovsk region, a special immersion baptismal font arranged according to Orthodox canons.
