The Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the settlement of Suskanskoe of the Stavropol region was opened in 1755, and its first priest was Feodor Sevastyanov. In 1868, the winter wooden church burned down, and services continued in the summer church. In 1897, thanks to donations from parishioners, the construction of a new church was completed, designed for 1000 people, with two altars in the name of Saints Cosmas and Damian and the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 1917, the church, as well as the houses of the priest and the psalmist, were nationalized. The priest's house was turned into a people's house, and the psalmist's house became the village council. In 1924, the church building and its property were transferred to the church council by agreement. However, in 1936, the temple was closed, and in 1958 it was destroyed.

On May 5, 2008, the archpriest of the Stavropol district, Igor Baranetsky, consecrated the land for the construction of a new church. On June 5, 2008, he consecrated the construction site, and the first brick was laid in the foundation of the church along with a capsule containing the names of its founders. On June 5, 2009, the state registration of the Parish was completed. On November 13, 2010, priests Sergey and Vladimir consecrated the new church, and already on November 14, 2010, the first Divine Liturgy was held there.
