In 2014, services resumed at the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian, located in the village of Uvarovka. The church suffered greatly during the Soviet era: the roof, domes, and crosses at the gates were lost. To conduct services, which are held several times a year by priest Nikolai Klementyev from the village of Usinskoye, parishioners repaired and enclosed the altar area of the church.

Before the revolution, the church belonged to the parish of the Transfiguration Church in Syzran, located 6 versts away. The Cosmodemyanskaya Church was built in 1879 with funds from merchant Fyodor Danilovich Solovyov near the cemetery and was consecrated a year later. Buried near its walls are the merchant himself, his wife Anna, and his daughter-in-law Evdokia. According to V. Petryashin, the church housed relics of Saints Cosmas and Damian, martyr Jacob of Pechersk, and martyr Bishop Anthimus.

Uvarovka had the status of a hamlet, not a village. The clergy, consisting of a priest and a psalmist, served both in the main church and in the attached cemetery church. As of 1900, the total number of parishioners in the two churches was 255 households, not counting 5 households of dissenters. Since 1875, a rural school operated in Uvarovka.

From 1930, after the believers abandoned the church, the building was used as a collective farm warehouse.
