The church in honor of Saints Cosmas and Damian was built in 1905 entirely on donations from local residents. In 1930, the church was closed, and it was initially used as a grain storage facility, and then as a workshop for repairing tractors. In the early 1960s, attempts were made to blow up the church. The first attempt with a small amount of explosives was unsuccessful, and the building remained intact. A more powerful explosion was planned, but specialists warned that it could damage houses in the village. Thanks to this, the church was preserved. In 1964, when the collective farm acquired a machine-tractor station, the church was freed, leaving it in a semi-ruined state.

Even now, without domes and in a semi-ruined condition, the church impresses with its grandeur. In the 1990s, restoration work began, funded solely by donations. The bell tower was never completed, so when the church is fully restored, the church bells will ring for the first time. The bell tower is planned to reach a height of 42 meters. For now, services are held in a small temporary building in the village.
