Before the revolution, there was a wooden church in the village of Malaya Bugulma, built in 1886 in honor of Saints Cosmas and Damian, which has not survived to this day. The modern wooden temple, also dedicated to these saints, was built in 2003. Services are now held there on Sundays and on holidays.
