The first church in the village of Buzayevka was built in 1871 and consecrated in 1873 in honor of the holy unmercenaries Cosmas and Damian. The church building and bell tower were made of wood. A one-class church school and library operated at the temple.
In 1929, the church was closed, the dome and bell tower were dismantled, and the remaining building was converted into a club. Later, it housed a warehouse and a carpentry workshop.
On May 5, 1994, a parish was registered in Buzayevka, and the building of the former church was returned to the believers. Since then, services have resumed in the church.
On November 14, 2014, Bishop Sophrony of Kinel and Bezenchuk performed the great consecration of the temple in honor of the holy unmercenaries Cosmas and Damian in the village of Buzayevka, Kinel District, Samara Region.
