The church in the village of Boriskino-Igara is dedicated to Saints Cosmas and Damian. This wooden building was constructed in 1899 with the blessing of Bishop Guriy. The church is located in the center of the village on a hill, noticeable from afar. Previously, there were no churches in the parish, and it originated as follows: first, a school was built where priests occasionally held evening services. The residents enjoyed the services in their native language, and, upon the priest's advice, they began to seek the construction of a church. After receiving permission, the parishioners added an altar and a two-tiered bell tower to the school, clad the walls, and painted them, thus creating a church. The construction lasted two years and cost 6000 rubles.

The church was consecrated on October 4, 1898, by the local archpriest Protopriest Ivan Mikhailovich Bogolyubov with the participation of the parish priest Father Dmitriev. In the same year, the Bishop of Samara and Stavropol Guriy visited the church. The building has the shape of an elongated quadrilateral with a convex front part, resembling a ship. The bell tower houses five bells, the largest weighing 38 poods 28 pounds, and the smallest 25 poods 0.5 pounds, totaling 65 poods 11 pounds.

An inventory of church property has been maintained since 1902 and was verified in 1912. The income and expenditure books regarding candle and church amounts are secured with a cord and the seal of the Spiritual Consistory, with income data presented for 1911-1913, kept intact. Copies of the metric books have been stored since 1879, and confession lists since 1900. The church library contains 24 volumes of reading books. Church funds are kept under the key of the church elder with a seal. There are no fixed amounts in credit institutions.
