The gate church, dedicated to the venerable Cyril and Maria, was built above the northern gates of the monastery in modern times, after the monastery was returned to the Church. In the 19th century, the construction of such a church was impossible, as the pious parents of Venerable Sergius were only venerated locally and had not been canonized.
The church, quite tall and topped with a single golden dome, harmoniously fits into the ensemble of the monastery buildings. Together with the bell tower, it currently shapes the perception of the architectural complex of the monastery from the north side, from the main road. In the future, when a cathedral in honor of Venerable Sergius of Radonezh is built, the view of the monastery from the north will become even more impressive.
The church in honor of the venerable Cyril and Maria was built from 2003 to 2006. The temple features a spacious and warm baptistery with a large font.
