The construction of the church began in May 2006 and was funded by donations from believers under the guidance of the parish priest, Father Sergey Petrov. By the fall of 2007, services began to be held in the church. The official consecration took place on April 19, 2008, on Lazarus Saturday. In the presence of a large number of believers, Archbishop Anastasy of Kazan and Tatarstan consecrated the church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos. The opening of this church was a long-awaited and joyful event for the townspeople, as previously believers had to visit the Petropavlovsky Church of Gari or the Church of Saint Andrew the First-Called, which is a dependency of the Raifa Mother of God Monastery.
