In the village of Zaozerye, there are two churches: the Kazan and the Assumption. The Kazan church is built of stone and includes summer and winter parts, as well as a refectory with three altars dedicated to the Kazan Mother of God, Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the prophet Elijah. It was erected in 1730, and the refectory was reconstructed between 1860 and 1865 with funds from the parishioners. The fourth chapel, the Sofia chapel, was established under the bell tower in 1770 thanks to Princess Sofia Semyonovna Volkonskaya.

The village also has two stone chapels: one was built in 1894 in the northwestern corner of the fence, and the other is located at the Plotnitsa spring half a verst from the village, on the site of a burned wooden chapel. There are 17 wooden chapels in the parish, erected at different times.

The churches own 34 dessiatinas and 999 square fathoms of land. The church houses include three two-story buildings with stone lower floors, where three priests live on the upper floors, and two deacons and a psalmist on the lower ones. There is a separate one-story house on a stone foundation for the psalmist, as well as a two-story house with a stone lower part for the church school, which accommodates teachers, a prosphora baker, and a caretaker. The church's capital amounts to 7112 rubles. The parish has a total of 2838 men and 3296 women.

The parish operates a second-grade church school, a single-class women's church school, a zemstvo school, church guardianship, and a charitable institution, all funded by donations from various individuals. The hospital is financed by the zemstvo, while the library-reading room and fire brigade with a stone house and equipment are supported by the provincial zemstvo and private donations. The staff includes three priests, one deacon, and three psalmists. The parish capital in securities amounts to 11,245 rubles.
