In the village of Zabolotye, there is a stone Resurrection Church with a bell tower, built in 1770 at the initiative of the local landowner Grigory Dionisyevich Cherevin. The fence around the church is wooden, and the cemetery is located inside the fence. The church has three altars: in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the holy apostles Peter and Paul, and Saint Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica. Previously, there was a wooden church built in 1749, with altars in honor of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Annunciation of the Mother of God, and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The village is located 150 versts from Kostroma and 12 versts from Chukhloma. The nearest churches are the Epiphany Church in Boreyeva, 1 verst away, and the Nicholas Church in Kluseeva, 3.5 versts away.

Archpriest I. Belyaev mentioned the wooden Resurrection Church. According to data from 1870-1872, there was one church in the village of Zabolotye, likely the wooden Resurrection Church, which may have been lost in the 1860s, leaving its name to the parish.
