The Kazan Mother of God Church in the village of Yazykovo, built in 1766 with funds from Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Fyodorovich Apraksin, originally had no bell tower and had three chapels: in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and John the Baptist.

In 1869, thanks to the efforts of landowner A. Shishkov and local parishioners, a warm stone church with a three-tiered bell tower was erected. This church also had three altars and could accommodate up to 900 people. The church was associated with the church in honor of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, built by landowner Maria Alexeyevna Shishkova on the estate grounds. This church, which could hold up to 150 people, was consecrated on June 26, 1851.

In the 1930s, both churches were closed and dismantled. In 2003, thanks to the efforts of the collective farm chairman A.I. Belyakov and the villagers, the construction of a new church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos began. In 2006, the first bell was consecrated and installed on the bell tower.
