On August 15, 1884, the day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, construction of the church began in the village, leading to the name Uspenka. The typical church was built very quickly, and by November 1 of the same year, it was consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The construction was financed by the community; the church was wooden, warm, and had a single altar, connected to a bell tower. The area around the church was fenced with a wooden fence, and there were a watchman's lodge and a small library nearby. The clergy consisted of a priest and a psalmist, for whom church houses were provided.

In 1962, to mark the centenary of Uspenka, a club opened in the renovated building of the closed Kazan church. In 1965, a separate room for the library was arranged there, but it proved insufficient to accommodate the entire book collection.

In 1996, the building of the former church, which had housed the House of Culture in recent years, completely burned down. Since then, the cultural institution has been located in rented premises of a former store. A cross has been erected at the site of the burned Kazan church.
