The Kazan church in the village of Trubetchino, which has two altars, was built with the funds of parishioners in 1890 on the site of an old wooden church that had fallen into disrepair. The main cold altar was consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, while the warm chapel was dedicated to the Nativity of John the Baptist. During the cold season, services were held in the heated chapel. The church was constructed of wood on a stone foundation.

The parish was significant, and by 1900 it included residents from several settlements.

During the mass closure of churches in the Middle Volga region, the priest of the Kazan church in the village of Tubetchino, Nikolai Nikolayevich Travin, was arrested in 1932 and shot on February 20, 1938, in Kuibyshev, now Samara.

Before the start of the Great Patriotic War, the church building was rebuilt on the old stone foundation. Until 2001, it housed a rural school, which was closed due to the building's non-compliance with safety requirements. The building was purchased by the Nikulin family with the blessing of Archpriest Grigory Koberin. In 2010, the church was returned to its original appearance. The first prayer service took place on the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God on July 21, 2012.
