The village has two stone churches: a winter and a summer one. The winter church, consecrated in honor of the Kazan Mother of God, was built in 1777 through the efforts of the parishioners. The residents of the parish are mainly craftsmen and tailors, and all the men leave for work in the winter starting at the age of 12. The parish has 36 desyatinas of land. There are three church houses on the territory: for the priest, the psalmist, and the watchman. The church capital amounts to 5174 rubles and 47 kopecks. The parish has three chapels: a stone one in the village of Chashkovo, built in 1883, a wooden one in the village of Lesunikh, erected in 1903, and a wooden one in the hamlet of Gare, built in 1904. The village is located one verst from the Uhra River and 90 versts from Yaroslavl, with the most distant villages being 5-6 versts from the church. The parish has a church-parish school and parish guardianship. The staff includes positions for a priest and a psalmist. The parish capital amounts to 2760 rubles.
