From 1818 to 1827, the church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was built. This brick building with a single dome represents a two-light square with a small refectory and bell tower. The church was consecrated on September 29, 1827, but was closed on March 13, 1939, and used as a warehouse, destroying the bell tower and the roof. In 1991, the building was returned to the faithful, and by 1995, its restoration was completed with the construction of a new bell tower.

In the village of Sukhorechka, Buzuluksky District of the Orenburg Region, on April 19, 1919, fighters of the 25th Chapayev Division took an oath of loyalty to Soviet power for the first time in the history of the young Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. Many stories circulate about the bravery of the villagers. There are few villages in Russia that have raised two Heroes of the Soviet Union, but Sukhorechka is one of them. During the Great Patriotic War, its residents, simple workers Fyodor Konstantinovich Aseev and Mikhail Gavrilovich Klimenko, were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for their exploits.
