The warm wooden church is located on a high hill in a sacred grove, one kilometer south of the Vodla River. This structure belongs to the type of two-aisled tiered churches with a square base, where the rooms expand from east to west. The church consists of a square prayer room, a five-sided altar, an elongated refectory, and rectangular vestibules, which were previously topped with a bell tower and had northern and southern porches. Lighting is provided by windows on the southern and northern sides.
The walls of the main room are hewn "in the round" and partially smoothed inside with rounded corners, while the octagonal section is made "in dovetail", has a three-tiered roof, and is completely smoothed inside without rounded corners. In the second construction period, the walls inside were covered with horizontal planks "in quarter", nailed down. The floor is double: the "black" one made of logs with the hewn side down, laid parallel to the entrance, and the "clean" one with the pulpit and choir, laid perpendicular to the entrance.
The ceiling underwent reconstruction: it was initially a sixteen-panel "sky" with triangular sails, then a horizontal covering made of logs with the hewn side down, laid perpendicular to the entrance. The windows, originally three-arched, were replaced with more modern ones joined "in quarter".
Traces of two construction periods are also visible in the roof. From the first, the octagonal tent with an axial column has been preserved, and above it, a new tent with shelves and an onion dome has been constructed. On the western wall of the octagonal section, traces of the original refectory and barrels with carved crests can be seen.
The altar, originally equal in width to the main room, was replaced with a narrower one. Traces from the ceiling beam and carved crest indicate its earlier existence. The walls of the new altar are hewn "in dovetail", completely smoothed inside, and roughly sanded outside. The floor is double: "black" and "clean", laid perpendicular to the entrance.
The refectory, attached to the second construction period, has walls hewn "in the round" and doors that previously connected it to the main room. The windows and ceiling are similar to those in the main room. In the corners of the refectory, Dutch stoves used to stand.
The vestibules, built simultaneously with the refectory, have a single floor and a horizontal ceiling. In the southeast corner, there was a staircase to the bell tower. The entrance doors and windows are similar to those in the refectory.
To the north of the church lies a fallen tent, previously topped with an onion dome. The entire church is clad in vertical profiled boards with a decorative base.
The church from the village of Roslyakovo, built in the 18th-19th centuries, represents historical and architectural value as a unique tent temple of the "octagon on a square" type, preserving traces of two construction periods.
