The village of Rahmanovo is located on the Leonovka River. Before the revolution, it was part of the Uglich district of the Yaroslavl province and had the status of a state-owned village. In 1859, there were 28 households here, with 87 men and 115 women living in them. The stone church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, with an altar in honor of Saint George the Victorious, was built with the funds of the parishioners in 1802. The temple is made of stone, has five domes, and a tiered bell tower.

The church has two altars: one dedicated to the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, and the other to Saint George the Victorious. During the Soviet era, the church building was used as a warehouse, was closed, and suffered desecration and partial destruction. In 1991, the church was returned to the believers and began to be restored.
