The village of Polyana is located in the Perevozsky district. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the village church was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. This object dates back to the early 20th century. However, according to information from the Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, order 5-OD was canceled on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159. It is likely that the church was built after 1904, as there are no mentions of it in the 'Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese' for that year.
