The church dedicated to the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God historically existed in this city, which was previously a settlement called Tashino. The founder, Alexander Nikolayevich Karamzin, son of the famous historiographer and writer, named it after his wife Natalia Vasilievna Obolenskaya. In 1853, the Tashino foundry was built here, and in 1864, a wooden Kazan church appeared next to it, which was the only one in Tashino. Unfortunately, there is almost no information about parish life at that time. After the events of 1917, the wooden church continued to function, but it was closed much later. In the late 1920s or early 1930s, the building was handed over to pioneers for club activities. Later, the church burned down, but the exact reasons and timing of this event are unknown; according to locals, it happened in the 1940s. Now, on this site, there is one of the workshops of OAO 'Transpneumatika', formerly known as the Tashino foundry.
