The wooden church, built by parishioners in 1868, has three altars. The main, cold altar is dedicated to the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, while the warm chapels house altars in the name of the holy unmercenaries and miracle workers Cosmas and Damian, as well as St. John the Warrior.

The church land includes 2 desyatinas of estate land and 33 desyatinas of arable land. The parish consists of a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist. There are church houses for the priest and deacon, and a public one for the psalmist. The parishioners live in the village of Papuza, which has 287 households with 1149 men and 1196 women, and in the village of Priyut on the Inza River, 5 versts away, where 39 men and 43 women live in 10 households.
