The Holy Kazan Church in the village of Palashkino celebrated its 150th anniversary. Until 1862, the village of Palashkino was part of the parish of the Georgievskaya Church in the neighboring village of Chirikovo, but then, thanks to the efforts of the parishioners, a stone church was built in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, with a stone bell tower and two warm chapels in the name of the Holy Trinity and Saint George the Victorious. On January 23, 1918, a decree was adopted to separate the church from the state, after which the confiscation of church valuables and land began. On May 31, 1939, the Holy Kazan Church was closed by the decision of the presidium of the Ivanovo Regional Executive Committee and transferred to the Vladimir District Executive Committee for cultural needs. The church was looted and used as a warehouse for the local collective farm. In 2003, restoration work began. In 2005, windows were installed in the summer church, and roofing work began in 2006.
