Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Novy Buyan

Фото 1
In the village of Novy Buyan, a church was built in 1795 in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Today, it is the oldest cultural monument of the village. The church underwent reconstruction twice: in 1898 and 1910.

During the Soviet era, the church was closed and nearly destroyed. After the building was returned to the believers, reconstruction began, which continues to this day. On November 3, 2001, on the eve of the holiday in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the surroundings of the village were once again filled with the sound of bells.

As of today, the frescoes and interior finishing of the church have been completed by local artist Kiriev A. Yu.

Since 1997, a Sunday school has been operating at the church.
